Gunfight rages in South Kashmir village

Pulwama: A gunfight has raged between militants and the government forces in Seer Jagir area of Tral town in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that government forces cordoned off the village and launched a search operation after militants attacked an army patrolling party belonging to 42 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army.
Reports said a shortly after Forces launch search operation, a contact with militants was established.
The exchange of fire was in progress till the filing of this report.
Local sources said that a single militant reportedly identified as Hamad Khan is holed up in the area.
