Srinagar, Aug 3, KNT: Doctors at Srinagar’s Children hospital have been taking attendants for a ride. The attendants are so disgusted with the behavior of some doctors at the hospital that a couple of parents have filed complaints before the higher authorities.
“Some Doctors are very arrogant at GB Panth Hospital. They are habitual of rebuking attendants. Para-medical staff as well started imitating them and they too show their arrogance,” said a father Nisar Ahmed whose 2 month old baby is admitted in the hospital.
Jahangir Ahmed, whose 10 days old baby is admitted at ICU for some complications told Kashmir News Trust that a doctor refused to do Ultra Sound test for his baby and rebuked him for visiting her after 2pm during the day.
“The in charge lady doctor was backed by Deputy Medical Superintendent who as well admonished me for arriving after 2 pm. Are doctors prohibited to conduct Ultra Sound tests after 2 pm during the day,” he questioned and accused Deputy Medical Superintendent of the hospital of encouraging haughty staff.
Another person Zubair Ahmed from South Kashmir said that from past 9 days he never came across a professional humble doctor. “They don’t listen properly and are always in a hurry,” he said and justified any situation when attendants take on arrogant staffers.
Medical Superintendent GB Panth Hospital Dr Kanwal Jit Singh said that he will take care of the concerns of attendants. (KNT)
